Downpour is a song by South Korean Girl Group project I.O.I released just for fans. The song's accompanying music video featured documentary-style footage of the I.O.I members throughout their year together. The group was formed through the Korean television program Produce 101 in 2016, and the 11 women were picked from over 100 hopefuls aiming to be K-pop stars. Downpour was produce by Woozi, a member of Seventeen. And co-written by a member of I.O.I Lim Na Young and Zhou Jieqiong.

Like the sun shining after a downpour of rain that quickly comes and goes, the lyrics talk about how while it may seem sad right now, there is a glimmering hope that they will reunite again in the future. The song’s sweet melody and romantic lyrics represent the 11 members feelings toward the people that have supported them throughout their fast-paced career which is just 333 days.

There is something that makes Downpour slaps and hurts because it is the last song they sang during their last concert. So when you listen to the song or just the title of it, you can reminisce the past and looked back to the memories that have been made between the fans and the girls

The song give fans a hope for the 11 members to reunite despite of having a busy schedules with the current groups they are on and some of them became a soloist and actress.

There is a part of the song that says "when the falling rain is about to stop, lets meet again then. we shall smile again and be together" and that line is the thing that their fans are holding on. All they want was just to see the members together again, making new memories and smiling like just the I.O.I that a lot of people looked up to.
