His paintings became known and one of his art work is the Spoliarium.  Juan would be reinstated as a world-renowned artist and Peuple et Rois, his last major work, was acclaimed as the best entry to the Saint Louis World's Fair in St. Louis, Missouri .  But some his paintings was destroyed during the world war.      One of his painting is the "Portrait of Pas Pardo de Tavera" but it was changed into "Portrait of a lady" because they believed that the paint is cursed because whoever owns it receive bad luck that's why they just gave it to the museum.
