Bribery of public officials is penalized under Articles 210 to 212 of the Revised Penal Code

Republic Act No 3019 Anti Graft and Corrupt Practices Act

Corruption is the dishonest behavior by those in positions of power for their own benefits. 

It includes bribery, extortion, cronyism, nepotism, parochialism, patronage, influence peddling, 

graft, and embezzlement. 

Last year, May 16, 2019, President Rodrigo Duterte has fired the former Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 

Director General Nela Charade Puno. Their is no exact reason why former Director Puno was fired.

But is said that it was part of President Duterte's campaign against the government corruption.

Ex-Director General Nela Charade Puno declines the allegations. 

"I served as the Director General of the FDA for two years and 10 months with complete honesty, diligence, dedication, and loyalty,"

Puno added, “I leave the FDA with a clear conscience and what I believe to be a clean record. It is completely unnecessary to sully 

the personal and professional reputations of people who sacrifice to render public service.”

In this kind of situation we don't know who is the right one even though they both explain their part.

It's pretty easy to lie and make people blind if you have the power and influence. And this is 

the biggest problem that the Philippines is facing.

We don't know who are those corrupt individuals from those people who are not. So as a people in the country who wants the fair treatment

we should know who should we look up and support to. And it is not just about the government here, it is about all of us. We got easily blinded because of money

and with that we tend to support those crappy politicians and influential people because of from what they gave to us.

With all those wrong doings, I hope we realized and put in our mind that we are the one who will suffer in the end. 

So in order for us to achieve what we want for us and for the country we should do what is right for the sake of everyone.
